Providing more scholarship opportunities for the low income less fortunate students is an amazing step for the future, Low-income students naturally work harder because they don't really have the things required to excell in life.

 @9GXFD7Y from Georgia agreed…5mos5MO

I agree because it will provide equal opportunity to low-income students so they don't have to work as hard and they can still excel in life being low-income

 @9GXFPDXagreed…5mos5MO

yes because not everybody has money to go to college and get a education so yes we should go to college for free or have a public college.

 @9GXF8NN from Alabama agreed…5mos5MO

I absolutely agree with this. They do not have the same chances at life because of their upbringing, and that is not fair. "Life is not fair" does not apply when it is something that can be fixed.

 @9FZMX3CIndependent  from Virginia disagreed…6mos6MO

Providing more scholarship opportunities for low-income students is a step in the right direction, but it may not fully address the issue of accessibility and affordability for all students. Free College for All would ensure equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their financial background. It would create a more level playing field and help break down barriers to higher education.

 @9FZNFH3 from Oregon agreed…6mos6MO

The kids of today are meant to be tomorrow's leaders. How are they supposed to do that if they can't afford college? There is all this potential for them and all they need is the opportunity to be able to try.

 @9FZNXDVPeace and Freedom from California agreed…6mos6MO

Yes, I agree with this statement because if someone is dedicated to getting good grades and focusing in school than I believe their college tuition should be for free.

 @9FTJW64  from California disagreed…7mos7MO

Expanding access to higher education through free college for all can bridge the socioeconomic gap and promote equality. Studies indicate that countries with tuition-free or heavily subsidized higher education, like many in Europe, have higher rates of college graduates, leading to a more skilled workforce and economic growth. By eliminating tuition fees, students from low-income backgrounds can pursue higher education without the burden of debt, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to society. Additionally, investing in education at this level can lead to a more informed citizenry, fostering innovation and progress. Providing scholarship opportunities, while valuable, might not be enough to address the systemic inequalities that free college for all aims to rectify, making it a more comprehensive solution.

College affordability is at its lowest point in history, but the need for a college degree only increases. The weight of a degree, even an associate's degree, determines a job even at entry level. Low-income families know there aren't many options when choosing a college because they know the need to go to a cheaper one and take out the dreaded student loans is the only option left. Free college gives everyone the chance at higher education and allows for our people to flourish with knowledge, to bring up the average for those who take the chance to learn because they have the choice but also for those who don't.

 @9FTP5BPIndependent from Florida agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with this comment about free college for all. Students should have the right to pursue a higher education regardless of their background and income records. If we gave free education for those students we would be highly advanced in today's technology with people's potential. Become more educated and be civilized which can reduce violence and unacceptable behaviors in public.

 @9G2JJ64  from Connecticut disagreed…6mos6MO

Many students who get into colleges get into huge debt because of how much money they had to borrow from the government. Scholarships may give funding, but only if the student wins. Doing scholarships takes time, and people who don't have as much time to do it don't get equal funding. When students get into debt, they take most of their lives paying it. It's like the federal government made sure to lure the young students into a trap where they will have to be paying off a huge debt for the rest of their lives. The federal government has to make sure that all students have equal chances of graduating from a college.

 @9G3JD3ZWomen’s Equality from Ohio agreed…6mos6MO

yes because higher education is more expensive than it needs to be and so many citizens are still swimming in their college debts because they can't pay them all off so either reduce tuition by thousands or make it free.

 @9G3J7GP from Ohio agreed…6mos6MO

yes I agree with the author the government should give people the right for higher education and chance at it

 @9GYYPY3  from California disagreed…5mos5MO

There needs to be more things done to lower college tuition than just providing more scholarship opportunities. College tuition can cause students that aren't low-income to become low-income.

 @9GKFN65  from California disagreed…6mos6MO

There was a time in the US where collage was reasonably affordable; however various factors like state funding cuts and rising administrative costs led to student debt rising through the roof. Paying for tuition for four year universities will help make up for the slashes in funding.

 @9GKQM8TCommunist from Michigan agreed…6mos6MO

It should be common sense, we are the only progressed nation in the world that does not have free schooling up to college levels, it should be the opposite and be able to have those resources.

 @9GB768F  from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

Low-income students still need to work harder than the students that were financially well off, and often than not, scholarship opportunities could potentially be due to chance.

 @9GB7ZGSRepublican from Oklahoma agreed…6mos6MO

Low-income students should have access to financial aid and all students should be forgiven for any student loan debt. Students do not need to be burdened for years in order to pay off their debt.

 @9GB85DBDemocrat from Kansas agreed…6mos6MO

Yes low income students need to work harder, atleast when you’re financially stable you don’t have to worried about the next meal your going to eat and your parents most likely have a college fund set away for you, with a low income student they can’t afford college on there own and so they really need to work for a scholarship
America is supposed to be the land of Opportunity yet where has this happened? Because it seems like you only get the opportunity if your wealthy enough to afford it

 @9H3BT78  from Nevada disagreed…5mos5MO

Providing free college and education for all would increase average competence and would increase consumer knowledge.

 @9H3J6PFProgressive from Illinois agreed…5mos5MO

In a society that requires further education to be any sort of successful, the government should pay students tuition in full.

 @9GT9JX8 from Nebraska disagreed…5mos5MO

I think that people that are struggling to pay for college should get help on paying for college. Most people struggle and go into school debt, so instead of spending money on not good things we could help many others in college tuition.

 @9GC77LJ from California disagreed…6mos6MO

Whoever is really going to work for their degree, doesn't have a criminal record ,and is responsible with proof from teachers, managers, or family should be able to go to college for free, they shouldn't be judged for their GPA.

 @9FRTHJ3 from California disagreed…7mos7MO

Free College gives students an opportunity who wouldn't go to college a chance to succeed. Free College should stay.

 @9GY9XXY from Maryland agreed…5mos5MO

I agree that everyone should have a chance at free education, it gives them a chance to learn and experience something new in life. The author could have another opinion about this and disagree

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. I don't think it is fair at all for those who are less fortunate and don't have the finances to afford college simply cannot get a diploma. Everyone deserves a fair and equal chance at an education.

 @9G57GS6 from California disagreed…6mos6MO

Giving Free College for everyone allows more students who come from poverty more opportunities to go after their education and dreams. Our country stands on life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness and doing this would give everyone equal chances to have these three things.

Students should earn the opportunity to go to a "free college". There should be specific and fair requirements for "Free College for all".

 @9G8SJRPPeace and Freedom from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Yes, the federal government should pay for tuition. If the government were to pay more people would be able to complete their education. Thus, resulting in a more educated population.

Students of all socio economic positions should be allowed to access higher education if he/she so choose to. We should work to eliminate obstacles that bar lower economic students from attending college.

 @9G8CMSS from California disagreed…6mos6MO

More scholarship opportunities mean more money going toward the students who really need it and can put it toward their future. The money would be put towards better causes, and ultimately helping families all over the world to therefore further their education past high school and not have to worry about loans or grants in addition to it.

 @9GR3NP7 from Idaho disagreed…5mos5MO

Most western and other developed countries on earth offer free college for their residents. Free college is beneficial for the economy and job market and it pulls people out of poverty. One if its free people are in less debt which frees them to spend more money circulating the economy 2 with more high education people more jobs that have low employment due to not having enough experts will see an increase in employees and finally when poor and impoverished people have the opportunity to become college educated person with the opportunity at a high paying job it gives them away out of poverty.

 @9GB94VR from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Yes more opportunities should be provided to low income students because some of the low income students have best ideas that will help our country's future also some of them have qualities that some of today's leaders lack.

 @9GDY64P from Michigan disagreed…6mos6MO

There should be more scholarship opportunities for low-income students but there should be free college for all.

 @9GBX39Q from Illinois disagreed…6mos6MO

yes, because the school can only give every student so much money for scholarship money. That is what my school did, they would not give me anymore money. So the government should either just pay the rest or it should be free.

 @9FRJWFNReform from Nevada disagreed…7mos7MO

college is free or cheap but the price increases with every time you mess up. every peace of homework missed. every time you get in trouble, late assignments, bad attendance etc. you will also buy your own supplies.

 @9G7Z3V8Republican from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

People of the US go to colleges for a bigger and better education which is also needed to work many good paying jobs in the US. At the end of the day we are all working for the government, the least they could do would be to pay for the schooling, because you know... we still have to pay for everything else.

 @9FPTLQB from Nevada disagreed…7mos7MO

I think helping out the low income would help them more into getting into the college they want without worrying about money.

 @9GRTMFB from Michigan disagreed…5mos5MO

America is one of the only mega nations to have paid college tuition. Tax dollars should be used to fund all covering tuition.

 @9GHZ3V3Independentdisagreed…6mos6MO

Because some students cant really afford the tuition and some students are very smart and want to make life better for their family and parents to get into college and make a living for them selves.

 @9GBDTKP from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Yes, if someone decides to further their education and become something, they should be able to do it for free. There are people with the potential of becoming something big who can't afford to live out their dreams.

 @9GF7XG2 from California disagreed…6mos6MO

I 100% agree, everyone deserves an equal shot at their education, after all these students are the future leaders of the country

 @9G8QLLK from California disagreed…6mos6MO

tuition for students should yes, be free. most kids dont want to attend because they cant afford. How are we supposed to have a better generation when they are charging us thousands to attend school.
