Many students do not come from a wealthy or even stable family. These students also have limited resources and are not able to find scholarships. Students who have experienced more hardships than average kids should most definitely have free college opportunities. Other students should also have the opportunities for a more affordable college.

there are many options to have free collage through the work of the student. there are many scholar ships giving chances to people of this nature. if a student is willing to work hard enough to go to collage they can do it for free already.

Students who come from a poorer family have financial aid, scholarships are available for students the ACT is given to students for free. You have to work for what you get. It is the students job to pay for college no matter where you come from.

Everyone has the right to an education and it should be affordably available to all in order to jump start a career.

 @9FT8J9V from California agreed…7mos7MO

partial tuition allows for many people to receive help paying for college without taking to much funds out of the government that is either payed by taxes or used on other important events.

Most would agree that college isn't for everyone. While I believe college should be offered for free to all for the first four semesters (two years), those who take advantage of the free ride or slack off should be held to strict penalties / academic probation while offered educational assistance & tutoring. If they continue to meet the minimum standard or fail most or all of their classes, then they will be barred from further educational aid after two consecutive semesters of failure.

Only giving students who receive partial tuitions "free college" excludes those who have to pay the full tuition.

I do not believe in free college for all. While education should be made more accessible, with free college, the meaning behind college degrees and advancement in careers is almost meaningless.

 @9FSLYZGRepublican from North Carolina agreed…7mos7MO

I think that is not very fair to have students who worked hard for college to end up having to pay full price and the government should assist some people with that.

If college was just free it would make it too easy for people to qualify. It shouldnt be free but I shouldnt be indebted for the rest of my life

 @9KBBLVP from Ohio agreed…2mos2MO

Giving all students free education is not teaching them independence and they are at risk for feeling like they can rely on the government for assistance in every situation for the rest of their lives.

 @9JHRMF5 from Maryland agreed…3mos3MO

I believe that with a government the people are giving up part of their power as for the social contract, but citizens should not rely on the government and except be more self-dependent, tuition and education should be lowered and not overpriced to the point that only a privileged group can afford it without going into debt.

If Colleges are paid for it will help you in the short term, but in the long term it will hurt more as taxes will be more.

 @9FBG3MJ from Alabama agreed…7mos7MO

If partial tuition was paid it could help with getting less student loan debt but not allowing everything to be free so that the government is not paying out too much adding to its debt and colleges can still make money to make campuses better

 @9FN872R from Colorado disagreed…7mos7MO

I’m not to sure, but my opinion is that it should be for low income students who shall deserve most position for a scholarship. Free collage should be for those low income students who shall go to community collage.

 @9FDC3CB from Texas agreed…7mos7MO

the government shouldn't make college free because the fact that college is an option and if you want a higher education you must pay is a good thing because it makes life decisions easier
