I agree there are crimes that I could easily support the execution of an individual, except that such an act affirms that there is no way God could redeem that person, and I can not accept that. On the spur of the moment, if I caught someone raping another person or sexually abusing a child or someone in the act of committing treason or selling drugs on or within 1,000 yards of a school, I would stop what was going on and if in doing so I killed the perp so be it regretfully and reluctantly it was necessary at that time to stop greater damage to innocents. I would nonetheless feel the black mark on my soul until I had confessed and received absolution.
