Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun?

People should be at least 21 and require a background check to own a gun. They cannot be assault weapons either

My son is 18 and he is a RESPONSIBLE, MATURE HUMAN BEING who in every way DESERVES TO BE ABLE TO HUNT WITH HIS GUN! If you want to take that away from him and me you're in for a world of hurt, me friend
