Well hello again, you little imp. You've plagued this website long enough time to put you to task:
Every Reason Socialism is Stupid
Socialism is one of the stupidest ideas a moron could hope to dream up. Literally nothing logical can be said in its defense. It has wiped entire civilizations off the earth, murdered tens of millions of people due to starvation, and mercilessly butchered more than a hundred million people in concentration camps because they dared to object to the tyranny of socialism. By contrast, the free market has brought tens of millions of beggars from rags to riches,… Read more fueled the creation of some of the most important inventions in human history, and has sky-rocketed the standards of living of billions worldwide to previously unimaginable heights. The obvious, unchanging pattern throughout history is that capitalism brings societies from rags to riches and socialism takes them from riches to rags – one hundred percent of the time. It’s happened over and over again, all over the world and in all time periods – China, Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, the USSR, Venezuela, – the examples are infinite. When will we learn? When will we decide we’ve had enough? How many famines, depressions and droughts, how many gulags, work camps, and dictatorships, how many hundreds of millions of graves will it take to hammer into our thick skulls that socialism is stupid? We may never know.
Of course, the socialists can conveniently ignore this incriminating history by claiming that every time socialism was carried out it was done the wrong way. It’s the equivalent of shoving a fork into an electrical socket because you convinced yourself the thousands of people who got electrocuted doing the same thing simply did it wrong, but since you’re smart enough to do it right you can’t possibly get shocked. After all, it’s just a matter of putting the fork in at the right angle. Of course, no matter how you do it you’ll get electrocuted. Doing it right is impossible. The same principle can be applied to jumping out of an airplane at ten thousand feet without a parachute, because everyone else who dieddoing the same thing supposedly did it wrong. It doesn’t matter how hard you flap your arms, it doesn’t matter how sureyou are that you can fly, you’ll be dead before five minutes have passed.
Despite how clearly absurd their line of reasoning is, it’s cherished by socialists because it insulates their ideology from reality and logical criticism and allows them to continue in their little utopian daydream where everyone holds hands and sings kumbaya. But more importantly, it allows the powerholders to continue to indoctrinate an army of socialist revolutionaries in the school systems so they can keep and expand their power over your life, liberty, and property. There are two types of socialists – the brainwashers and the brainwashed.
Whereas capitalism, the system our founders intended for, supports equality of opportunity, socialists demand equality of outcome, accomplished through government coercion. They despise private property rights, hate success, and see everything as an eternal class struggle between rich and poor, “bourgeois,” and “proletarian.” They have powerful prejudices against the successful and see all poverty and any inequality in wealth as a direct result of exploitation at the hands of the rich, having nothing to do with poor choices or circumstances. The only way to liberate the working class from the rule of the rich, they allege, is to punish those whom they deem too successful by stealing the fruits of their labor, and to subsidize everyone beneath their ideal amount of wealth by handing them the stolen cash. In short, they believe all inequality in economic circumstances must be stamped out with brute force and all wealth must be redistributed until everyone is equal.
It doesn’t take much thought to realize the horrible consequences of this policy. By punishing wealth, which is borne of hard work, through taxes, the government does the much the same as the police do when they give speeders a ticket. By taxing the rich, who hire all the workers and produce and supply all the goods in an economy, they government sends a clear message that hard work is a sin, hiring employees is evil, and producing goods and services is a crime. And by giving handouts to lazy slobs who do nothing, the government is rewarding laziness with a cash bailout while reprimanding productivity and growth through legalized theft. It’s a double negative incentive for growth – if you work you’re a criminal and if you do nothing you’re a hero; if you contribute you’re the oppressor and if you leech off of everyone else’s efforts you’re the oppressed.
After all, why should anyone work if they’ll get the same amount of money at the end of the day regardless of what they do? By working they will be losing money by laboring on something that produces no reward. In short, rather than getting paid to work they virtually get fined to work. Do I even need to tell you what will happen? No one will be working. Since working produces food, goods, services, and wealth, there will no longer be any of those things to redistribute – meaning everyone is trapped in an endless cycle of poverty with no way out. At the end of the day, socialism does make everyone equal in that no one has any wealth. Except the tyrannical, socialist government officials who leech off of everyone else to live a life of luxury while their citizens starve to death.
To cloak their wicked ideology, many Marxists have resorted to calling themselves “democratic socialists,” to avoid the wrath of an American public that largely sees communism as the diabolical system it is. They tell the American people what they want to hear – that they aren’t going to recreate the murderous regimes of Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, Fidel Castro, Kim Il-Sung, and Mao Zedong. Instead they promise a rosy vision of an American utopia that involves “free education,” “universal health care,” “living wages,” “liberal democracy,” and “social justice.” They seem oblivious to the fact that the six despots I mentioned did not rise to power for promising gulags, famines, and extermination camps. In fact, they got elected for promising the exact same things modern “democratic socialists,” woo voters with. For instance, in the 1920 German National Socialist (better known as Nazi ) Party Platform, Hitler promised voters many of the same things modern-day leftists do, such as
“demand[ing] that the State shall make it its primary duty to provide a livelihood for its citizens,” “the nationalization of all businesses which have been formed into corporations (trusts),” “profit-sharing in large industrial enterprises,” “the passing of a law for expropriation of land for communal purposes without compensation; the abolition of ground rent, and the prohibition of all speculation in land.” He went on with numerous social program proposals chillingly similar to what modern Democrats advocate: “The State muse consider a thorough reconstruction of national system of education (with the aim of opening up to every able and hard-working German the possibility of higher education and of thus obtaining advancement) … We demand the education of gifted children of poor parents, whatever their class or occupation, at the expense of the State … The State must ensure that the nation’s health standards are raised,” through extensive government control of healthcare. Your argument, thus, has no grounding in reality.
