Stripping police departments of their funding would make the quality of mental health screenings and cadet training decrease

I wholeheartedly agree with this comment. Most of the funding for the police goes into 3 things; Equipment, training, and of course, screenings. Stripping the police of their budget would result in less qualified officers that are more of a danger to the public. That's just my two cents.
