Guns are also essential for self-defense and making criminals fear innocent civilians. Banning such weapons would cause criminals to be emboldened.

A car is not intended to be driven while intoxicated, so if driven by a drunk driver, auto manufacturers should be held liable for misuse to make sure they have a stake in how their products are being used... Ridiculous, right? A gun actually has 2 primary purposes- protection and hunting. If misused, it's the fault of the person who misuses it, not the gun manufacturer. Just like Ford isn't liable for someone who kills with a car, gun manufacturers are not responsible for the actions of criminals or people who irresponsibly handle a weapon.

If someone is going to buy a gun and hurt someone, they will always find a way. We should be focusing more on the mental health of the community that could lead to this type of action.

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

Yet those who support guns and use that excuse don't want to fund mental healthcare, so you can't have it both ways.

Companies that sell knives, axes, baseball bats, and hammers aren’t sued when someone uses them to hurt someone else.

 @9FWKGFXfrom Maine disagreed…7mos7MO

Companies shouldn't be liable for customers choosing to do something with their product. It makes no sense to sue a car company because someone decided to ram into pedestrians with it, it makes no sense to sue gun companies because someone shot someone.

1. Guns are designed to kill and the second amendment isn’t for hunting. 2. You don’t blame car manufacturers when someone mows over kids playing in the street.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…7mos7MO

Why would we not hold the manufacturers of the murder product responsible when people murder with them..? Why do we allow them to keep making products designed for murder in the first place? It's insane.

Guns aren’t just made for hunting. The 2nd amendment is for defence against criminals and and tyrants. It does not talk about hunting . The argument that you couldn’t use them against a tyrannical government is stupid in my opinion, The Taliban and the Vietcong beat the U.S military with worse and less modern small Arms.

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

The 2nd Amendment specifically mentions having a "well-regulated militia". Also those who support the 2nd Amendment are perfectly fine with tyrannical policies.

 @9FWKJ9N from Illinois disagreed…7mos7MO

Dumb argument and what about cars if someone uses a car to kill somebody illegally and cars are advertised for transportation not killing

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

 @9FWJ3LV from Nebraska disagreed…7mos7MO

Gun manufacturers are not the ones causing the problem 🤠 it’s the easy accessible access to get guns that are.

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

But those gun manufacturers are the ones who support the lax rules on buying guns so they make more profits.

 @9FY5WLP from Pennsylvania disagreed…7mos7MO

Absolutely not any gun can be used for self defense and personally our country needs to look a medical records better before anything.

 @9FXBP9N from Utah disagreed…7mos7MO

The people who make the guns arent the ones making bad decisions, so why should they be held accountable?

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

Because that is the only way to make them want to change things so that people who want to make bad decisions aren't able to get the guns that make them capable of doing those things.

 @9FX5QSY from Pennsylvania disagreed…7mos7MO

you bought the gun you pulled the trigger the gun dont fire unless u pull the trigger people kill guns dont

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

Yes but a gun's sole purpose is to kill things, so without a gun those who would want to kill others would have a much harder time of doing it.

 @9FWJWDG from Colorado disagreed…7mos7MO

False, you buy the gun you are responsible. Right to bear arms ( 2nd amendment). You do stupid things then stupid things happen.

 @9FVGK4N  from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

So then you are perfectly fine with children deaths as a casualty of the 2nd Amendment?

 @6WP5FSYRepublican from Washington disagreed…5mos5MO

If a product is used in a way the manufacturer does not intend they have no responsibility.
