Although it won't fully stop mass shootings it will save lives in instances like the Robb Elementary School shooting, where the shooter enters classrooms. Provided that the armed teachers are trained, have a background check, and keep the firearm locked up when it is not on them.

Guns around children is never a good idea, teachers can't watch a whole room of kids at one time, mistakes happen, and it would be too easy for a child to get a hold of a gun.
