It is not meant to teach children to judge each other by skin color, but rather to illuminate the historical and ongoing impacts of racial dynamics on our society. For example, understanding why neighborhoods are racially segregated helps students to grasp the systemic nature of inequality. It's less about blame and more about understanding the larger picture.
