College would get watered down. This is basic economics. If everyone has access to something than the people who really need/want it will no longer get the benifits from it. For example, if there is a hurricane and people want gas, but the gov. puts a price ceiling on the price of 2 dollars then there will be a huge line, filled with people who are just getting it to be cautious, but someone who needs it for a real emergency still has to wait on that line. But if gas was 10 dollars than bo one will get gas besides the ones who really need it. Same principle applies.

Adding the ability to go to school for free will have potential adverse effects. This may include those with little to no ability for to attend college due to time constraints. Potential consequences may include inability to hire those who are qualified for the job who as mentioned cannot obtain the degree. Those mentioned may have the potential to have issues with getting hired due to higher standards which can cause higher numbers of unemployed people.

I agree with this position on Free College For All because I believe that college should be free since there might be people who want to go to college but might not be able to afford it.

The United States is already over eleven trillion dollars in debt, we need to cut our expenses not add to them. Offering free college for all would just add even more debt weakening the dollar. Free college for all would also make Americans lazy, the price of college inspires people to work and boosts the economy.

College is pretty much useless at this point, you can learn anything you need to know from the internet and not be in debt from using student loans that way, and since people are now figuring out that the return for the debt is really close to nothing, colleges are down in enrollment. The internet is the future of the following generations and we should focus on that instead of becoming indoctrinated from liberal colleges.

Yes, education should be free especially if we want a better culture for our kids and generations to come. No student should pay for wanting to learn, especially high prices.

 @9GKNMJ5 from Idaho agreed…6mos6MO

I personally don't think that would be the best idea, mostly because education is not free and it has never been.

 @9GKGR4P from California agreed…6mos6MO

Yes, I agree with this comment, there are so many families in LA that are low income and aren't able to afford going to college and pursuing their dreams.

 @9GKCR4J from Missouri agreed…6mos6MO

I agree with this statement. I agree that college should be free just as high school is because we are bettering our life for future families and to help out employers who are in need of certain workers. Alot of people do not have the money to pay for college so there for they cannot be hired onto the career hey so badly wanted to be working in.

 @9GK3K5LPeace and Freedom from Georgia agreed…6mos6MO

there needs to be a free school for all students who cant afford to pay for college almost most trade schools should be free

 @9GJZGMJ from Alabama agreed…6mos6MO

I agree. Some individuals are not able to afford higher education, but are so passionate about getting a certain job. Therefore, college and universities should be free or less expensive.

 @9GJVM2J from Texas agreed…6mos6MO

No, I disagree that college should be free for all. Those who have worked for scholarships deserve the award they have been given and giving free college to everyone would be degrading to those who worked for it.

 @9GJTCQV from Texas agreed…6mos6MO

I agree with this comment because if money was not a worry in life, many people would have gone to college instead of just becoming a 9-5. The necessity for college gives you many outs, such as getting you a stable job that you will always be able to count on for survival. It becomes an obstacle on certain jobs to obtain them without a college degree.

 @9GJSDW2 from California agreed…6mos6MO

Individuals should have the right to go to college for free because of how expensive it is and that fact that most people can't pay for it, so they have to take out loans that will take forever to pay off depending on how big the loan actually is. If individuals aren't allowed to go to college for free than college should be much cheaper than it is today.
