Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun?
No, and the government should pass a national “stand your ground” law
There would be no psychological tests, so anyone who is mentally ill or who isn't of sound mind could have a weapon and hurt themselves or someone else. Weapons could be given to people with a history of violence on their record or to someone with bad intentions. With training and background checks there would be less gun violence. Of course, there still will be some because people will slip by the system but the amount of gun violence will be significantly reduced. The "stand your ground" law won't do anything to prevent gun violence and frankly could increase it.
