Abortion should be illegal unless you are raped or sexually abused and that is the cause of the pregnancy. If either of the things has not happened to you and you are pregnant you should not be allowed to abort the baby, you need to take responsibility for your actions. If you do not want to keep the baby there are adoption places or other options you can turn to.

 @9GMHF4M from Alabama disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion concerns more than just the individual who is carrying the child. While I do believe that women who have been a victim of sexual violence should receive counseling, care, and an improved (and cheaper) form of readily available childcare, that person has no right to end the life of another human, continuing the cycle of violence that this person was cruelly thrusted into. The cycle of violence must end. We were all once in a womb and we were protected. Why should we not protect our fellow American citizens who are also in the womb?

 @9GLKHMH from Kansas disagreed…6mos6MO

I disagree with this. Abortion is killing a life inside a woman's body. It is still murder even if the baby isn't outside of the womb yet because it is breathing. If you are raped, do not kill the child because it isn't their fault that you were raped. Abortion should be illegal. Period.

 @9GM32Q3  from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is a sin, it is the intentional murder of a baby. I think it should only be considered if the persons life is in danger. You can also put a child into foster care instead of murdering it. We give rights to people who can't live independently due to medical reasons, so why should an un-born baby be any different. A human life begins at conception, even if you say it is "just a clump of cells" you are correct, but so is every living thing.

 @9GNKLPTRepublican from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is the murder of innocent children that have been given the gift of life. There should only be abortions due to rape and incests.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…6mos6MO

They fundamentally aren't "innocent" if they are using someone else's body without that person's consent.

 @9GLH9Y9 from New York disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion should be illegal because the baby is in life form in the uterus, and therefore you would be considered murdering a life form. however, women who were raped and murdered should be cared for.

 @9GLMW3X from Louisiana disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is against god. it is considered murder. An Aborition should only be considered when suffered sexual violence but should be abolished unless needed.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…6mos6MO

God has literally ordered the killings of pregnant women and their unborn children, and has even done so personally himself on multiple occasions. Your god does not care, but your patriarchal religious leaders who hate women definitely want you to think he does...

 @9GNDZV8Republican from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is ultimately the killing of a child and preventing them from living a life so it should not be legal at all or accessible.

 @9GLPFK5 from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion should be viable until the child develops emtions, that is when we consider to actually be human. But Abortion shouldn’t be used recklessly and be used for avoiding pregnacy when we have alternatives for that. We shouldn’t normalize Abortion and only be used as a last resort and be a serious topic when thinking about and should be thought throughly and carefully.

 @9GQWWN8 from California disagreed…6mos6MO

I find the idea of denying someone the opportunity to life appalling, but Abortion should be allowed only for when there is evidence of long lasting after effects or the impregnation was not consensual.

 @9GLPBX4 from Washington disagreed…6mos6MO

People who chose to make the mistake of risking pregnancy should have to live with the mistake they made and carry through with having the child. If the individual cannot support the child financially then they always have the option of putting the child up for adoption.

 @9GLDT57 from Virginia disagreed…6mos6MO

im not going to state an argumnet because i believe anyone who has been raped any age or forced or have something medicaly wrong with them they should be allowed abortion

 @9GND8YL from Illinois disagreed…6mos6MO

Murder is a sin. Abortion is murder. Abortion is a sin. Period. There should be no circumstances where a child should be killed. There is a living thing inside. The baby did nothing wrong, and shouldn’t be punished for anything. Abortion should not be legal whatsoever.

 @9GN28N6Republican from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is wrong, whether you're religious or not. The unborn fetus is biologically a human. The argument of "personhood" is invalid as it acknowledges the fetus as a human being but refuses to give them the right to life. Abortion should not be legal or accessible because it reinforces these ideas.

 @9GM3ZMWRepublican from Georgia disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is absolutely a sin, and any Christian who believes in it is misguided. It should only exist in extreme situations of potential death or sexual violence. Abortion is baby killing. If a person murders a pregnant woman, they get charged with two murders. This is because there are two lives. Abortion is murder.

 @9GLVX96Democrat from Indiana disagreed…6mos6MO

In certain circumstances, such as sexual violence, I am for abortion. But It should not be legal because of my personal experience with it. I think giving someone life is the greatest gift you can.

 @9GLGHSL from Oklahoma disagreed…6mos6MO

When most women go in for abortion they have not talked to and or not told the father which i find very wrong because they both committed the action so they should both have a say in it. just because the baby isn't born yet does not mean that it's not alive because we consider bacteria life but not a heartbeat

 @9GLD6ZF from Ohio disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is not a sin. Abortion should not only exist for people who have suffered sexual violence. Abortion should not only exist when there is a threat to the person’s life. Abortion should be legal and accessible. Period.

 @9GLCZ2D from Ohio disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is a sin, it takes away from an individuals natural rights: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

 @9GLJ9FH from Iowa disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is the murder of a human being. Life begins at conception and if we draw the line any where else the same can be applied to a person outside of the womb. It is a sin, as stated in the Bible, because it is the taking of an innocent human life.

 @9GLCSYD from South Carolina disagreed…6mos6MO

Two wrongs don't make a right. Life begins at conception and life is sacred. We should protect innocent life.

 @9GLCQ4P from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is the taking of a Childs life in which the child is alive inside the womb of the mother. If the child is not wanted after their birth then the state should work to have the baby placed in a home that is fit to properly take care of the child.

 @9GPT49L from Illinois disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is one of the worst problems in our Country, and it is a mortal sin. When a baby is aborted, a life is taken away, an innocent and defenseless life, that is. Not only is this murder against the Bible, but it just another form of murder which is being brutally ignored by politicians.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is not even a problem at all, however, the economic and legal barriers to receiving an abortion is a pretty big problem, yes. Abortion is an incredibly good and helpful means for people to utilize their freedom and bodily autonomy to live a healthy and fulfilling life, and preventing access to that right is inherently totalitarian and unjust.

 @9GNH5C4 from Virginia agreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is up to the women getting it, no one else. Especially not MEN who will never get pregnant.

 @9GLSSDG from New York agreed…6mos6MO

yes, abortion is a human right and not everyone can afford a baby so they should have abortion available to them.

 @9GLPZ6D from Washington agreed…6mos6MO

I agree with this comment, I don't think the government has any right to make someone give birth to a child under any circumstance, it all comes down to what the person wants to do with their body.

 @9GMFBHY from Mississippi disagreed…6mos6MO

I feel like abortion is an option for whomever it is no one's discussion but the parents. I don't support it but if they have gone through like abuse rape and other things I feel like they should have to keep the baby.

 @9GLDTKS from Georgia disagreed…6mos6MO

The my body my choice argument is valid. But the choice to not be pregnant must be made before you become pregnant. There is the choice to abstain from sex and the choice to use birth control. The only women who don’t have the choice before hand are those who are victims of sexual violence. What everyone else is fighting for is there ability to be free from consequences of irresponsibility.
