No, but racism is real and does affect our society and the descendants of those most directly impacted by our former racist laws, policies, and practices. It does still affect us today albeit in different ways than it did under slavery and Jim Crow. An accurate depiction of our history should always be taught truthfully, however the descendants of those who committed the atrocities should not be made to feel ashamed for their European ancestry.
