Do you support qualified immunity for police officers?
Yes, and provide more training and education for police officers
"Education and training" is a pathetic and bare minimum attempt of what we actually need to mitigate the violence we have seen from "law enforcement". You can't help someone who doesn't want to learn or help themselves. Education and training is only for those who are willing and I say "law enforcement" in quotations because they are no longer the enforcement of the law. They are becoming a militarized force of oppression against our people and have committed crimes of their own under the guise of "protecting the people". But they only protect who they want to protect based on their own biases and views, which has led to the cognitive dissonance people have about the police. This is the problem. People blindy follow the "law" and the government without actually questioning if their actions are warranted and people choose to believe in "Blue Lives Matter" or "Back the Blue" regarding the police because it supports their own agenda of racism and white male supremacy. Its obvious what demographic the police supports and vice versa. All you have to do is look at all of the innocent people of color that had their lives taken. Or look at the women who have been assaulted and have told their story to an officer when they had the bravery to call for help and report it, just for the officer to take sides with the abuser and accuse the woman of filing a "false police report" and "crying wolf" against the man even with clear evidence of abuse. Police are not for the people. They are for those who are in power and they continue to abuse their power and use it for evil and wrongdoing. There is clear systematic oppression coming from the police and parts of our government. It is imperative that we take further action than "Education and training" and implement more force on the matter instead of a slap on the wrist. #SayTheirNames #MeToo
