Could the shift to postnationalism prevent wars, or might it lead to larger, more complex conflicts?

I think that the shift to post nationalism could lead to both sides depending on how you look at it. I think in my own opinion it could potentially lead to more conflict because of countries fighting over things that they want but no not have.
