Yes, innovation should exist for the purpose of benefiting the lives of as many people as possible, not just for personal gains.

Though, personal gains aren’t bad, they shouldn’t be in ludicrously large quantities. If one creates a new idea that benefits the world, then they should get a good amount of money, but I’m thinking a few million dollars, not literally billions.

As long as I get to benefit from others as well and it's truly being used for the people and not select elite
