It isn't the Catholic that should be in charge of laws and marriage because they contradict themselves all the time. especially because I came from a catholic school and they believe that any one should be able to date any one. That's contradicting itself because that isnt what "there suppose to teach."

I think the catholic church is an important part of our culture, and maintaining our beliefs and faith in a religion is important, it's not like mixing religion with the government but maintaining certain rules, like the morality or ethics in each part of the government

Because politics and religion shouldn't be involved in the same matter and not everyone is religious.
