I think people struggle to understand white supremacy because when you’re the one experiencing it, it just seems like normal life for you. So when someone outside of your circle or racial background tells you that it happened and still very much does, it’s hard to grasp. It can also be hard to grasp if you grew up in a progressive area.
White privilege is the phenomenon of white people getting treated better or getting more benefits than that of a person of color. This can be anywhere from how they’re treated in the streets to job opportunities or pay rates. Thought it has most definitely died down since the past, it is still very much present.
