Hamas has no interest in stopping its war against Jews.

Western leftists just want the Jews to stop resisting.

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…2mos2MO

The Israeli military has literal nuclear bombs. If there’s any country that’s being promoted to stop resisting, that’s Palestine.

 @P4rtyTortoiseDemocrat from Louisiana disagreed…2mos2MO

Maybe Israel wouldn’t have so many accidents if it changed leadership (?), especially if its leader helped fund Hamas, was not prepared and didn’t keep Israel safe on Oct/7, whose strategy for retribution is dreadful and whose son hides in Miami while the IDF fights terrorists ?

 @AmusedSeagullDemocratfrom Ohio commented…2mos2MO

why aren’t Gazans being allowed back to their homes? who would agree to a ceasefire without that?

 @EffervescentCockatooTranshumanist from Texas agreed…2mos2MO

It's always been about land for the Zionist movement. They truly believe it is God's will that they take back all of Palestine and remove all Arabs.

They view Oct 7th through that prism as well. It was a tragic loss, but not without its benefits.

This land has belonged to the Jews for THOUSANDS OF YEARS. These hostile Mohammedans have TAKEN IT OVER and RULED IT WITH AN IRON FIST FOR MILENNIA. Time for the Jews to take back their heritage and their Nation.

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…2mos2MO

They had it 2000 years ago, then got forced out. Yeah, it sucks, but the Palestinians don’t OWE THEM anything for existing for the last several centuries in the area. If we’re restoring lands to the oldest population, give america back to the Indians, and give Hawaii back to its natives. The Jews didn’t even own the area for nearly as long as the Romans if we’re going to use that idea, so therefore, Italy gets to say what’s happening in that area. Palestine before the occupation of Israel was actually much more manageable in diplomatic terms, the British and Alli…  Read more

There happens to be a difference between settlers bringing Christianity, civilisation, private property, free markets, free trade, rule of law, and the rights of Englishmen to barbarous and uneducated tribes, and barbarous and unenlightened Mohammedan extremists inflicting incalculable terrors and liabilities on a population that happened to possess most of these benefits, and still linger there today, sowing the seeds of terror with their violent cultism. Americans and Englishmen brought the blessings of religion and self-government to the oppressed of the earth, whereas these Arab zealots brought the curses of barbarism and war upon what was then the best nation on the earth.

 @EmpathicTigerPeace and Freedom from Massachusetts commented…2mos2MO

Anyone in their right mind would reject it.

So you offer to stop killing for 6 weeks then resume killing?

Gee what a great offer, so generous of you!

 @XemplarySovereignForward from Pennsylvania agreed…2mos2MO

Not to mention Israel’s condition that Hamas NOT be a part of the diplomatic solution. Like I’m sorry, that ship has sailed, Hamas is not going anywhere at this point, they need to start coming to grips with the reality that Hamas won, but they never will.

 @EmpathicTigerPeace and Freedom from Massachusetts commented…2mos2MO

I say “won” cynically knowing full well the horrific civilian cost that should never have happened, but it’s clear, Israel set their victory at the metric of total destruction of Hamas, they have failed, and in the process, are destroying their own future as a country.

 @SomberLocustRepublican from Connecticut disagreed…2mos2MO

Lol. They’re going somewhere. And it will be a beautiful thing for the Palestinians to be liberated from the terrorists

 @R1ghtWingFalconGreenfrom Virginia commented…2mos2MO

Lol they ask "Hamas to surrender". They define all males over 14 as Hamas. What do you think happens when all males over 14 hand themselves in to the IDF? Israel is probably building gas chambers

 @EffervescentHawkSocialistfrom Alabama agreed…2mos2MO

If "Hamas surrenders" they will arrest every male over 14, as they have defined them all as militants. Then they will execute them, as they have been doing to all the boys they've captured over the last 6 months

 @R1ghtWingFalconGreenfrom Virginia agreed…2mos2MO

Also, a teenager who was released on the last hostage deals was taken again by the IDF. These people are just bloodthirsty liars.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

Is it reasonable to ask for all displaced people to return to their homes in conflict zones, considering the potential safety and logistical challenges?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

In situations of conflict, should the needs for aid and rebuilding be prioritized over political demands?

 @9LBLK33 from Massachusetts commented…2mos2MO

In conflict, helping the people get help and rebuild should be prioritized over political demands.

 @C0nstituti0nalSparrowWorking Family from Virginia commented…2mos2MO

Call me a cynic, but I think Hamas are monstrous enough to play the strategy of rejecting a ceasefire because after the foreign aid worker murders, the prevailing international opinion is swiftly turning against Israel. Why stop now when Israel can bury itself on the world stage?

 @BoastfulTortoiseRepublican from Oklahoma commented…2mos2MO

Anyone in their right mind would've respected the ceasefire in place until 07 October. But Hamas started something they had no hope of winning and are now crying foul.

 @VibrantForeignPolicyPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania commented…2mos2MO

Israel rejected the Hamas proposal… If 2 parties negotiate and the negotiation fail, not one party is to blame. One asked too much, the other offered too little.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

Do you think it's morally justified for a group to demand complete military withdrawal from an area as a condition for peace?
