Hard to overstate how catastrophic a full-scale Rafah invasion would be. Northern Gaza is now experiencing famine. The Kerem Shalom crossing is now closed. There is no safe place for people to go. No infrastructure. No plan for how to get aid into Gaza.

The fact that Israel banned Al Jazeera hours before beginning its assault on Rafah is not a coincidence.

After everything we’ve seen in the last 7 months, imagine what they’ll do when they think no one is watching.

Why aren't there any foreign journalists in Gaza?

🤔

Oh... Hamas doesn't let them in...

Hamas has no say in it, since it's territory occupied by Israel. But you're right, Israel won't let them in.

Hamas kicked out Al Arabiyah (saudi) years ago. Their correspondents sit in jerusalem now. Hamas liked Al Jezeera's narrative, which is why they allowed them to stay.

In case anyone missed the significance of this particular tweet, the point is that

THIS IS A UN OHCHR REPORT

But something something broken window in Columbia is the moral outrage of our current moment

 @AmnestyJimmyRepublican from Oregon commented…3wks3W

The Palestinians and Hamas should have thought about the consequences attacking Israel, the Israeli people have a right to protect themselves.

Why hasn’t Hamas released the remaining hostages? If they want peace.

How much longer can the civilised world go on supporting Israel when we see these crimes being carried out in front of us . Maybe we’r no as civilised as we claim .

The issue is that this feels already as yesterday’s news. It was spoken about for a week, now quiet on this topic. Rafah is under attack, people have to move again, so focus is on that. In two weeks more mass graves are found and the cycle continues 😔

 @PorpoiseJimWorking Familyfrom Maine disagreed…3wks3W

I mean no offense but this seems a bit cold. People being tortured dying and their families not being able to account for them or properly lay them to rest seems like discussion worthy news anytime.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3wks3W

What emotions or thoughts arise when you hear about children and mothers being targeted and killed in conflicts like the one in Gaza?

 @9M7HNS3 from Texas answered…3wks3W

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3wks3W

How do you feel about the fact that women and children are the primary victims in the violence described, and what does that say about the nature of the conflict?
