The United States always claims that it is the best country in the world, but what kind of good country doesn't help someone that is in need? I understand that helping illegal immigrants may take away resources from Americans, but if we didn't have such a bad healthcare system, we wouldn't have this issue and healthcare would be available to all Americans, as well as outside immigrants, legal or not, that need help.

Why is it immigrants are entitled to be here? I get that we may have a really great free country but that does not give everyone the right to be here especially illegally. We have laws and standards that need to be upheld. We can't just let anybody here any time under any circumstances. There is a legal process you must go through and although it maybe long and hard they aren't entitled to be here.

 @9F9KH7S from Illinois disagreed…8mos8MO

The way I think about it is the immigrants are coming here to become part of us we shouldn’t mind helping them out they should be treated like they are apart of us

 @9F9JZ3JDemocrat from Florida disagreed…8mos8MO

I get it, but there are also a lot of immigrants who are coming from 3rd world countries eager to work. You aren't doing charity if they do have something to offer.

 @9F9GNXC from Florida disagreed…8mos8MO

America is one of the most diverse countries that was built on different immigrants from different parts of the world coming and seeing opportunity. If we don't help everybody that comes to our land, illegal or not, that is blood on the hands of America. That individual that could be helped would feel saved and would help back the community so much more just because you could save him.

 @9F9BBCP from California disagreed…8mos8MO

Its unfair, many americans maybe go on vacation and its just like, you wouldnt want thisin a nother place.

 @9FB7WQS from California disagreed…8mos8MO

The illegal immigrants are citizens like the citizens next to them. There is no need of treating them differently

 @9F9N5CJ from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

I believe that everyone deserves help whether your a citizen or not. It doesn't matter where you come from everyone deserves help. And the fact saying that they steal is not really something that should be mention because to me they are not stealing to me is the fact they want a better life than the one they had before.

 @9F9MWXY from Georgia disagreed…8mos8MO

Aside from that, some immigrants do deserve government-subsidized healthcare depending on their situation. An immigrant that has lived here for many years and pays their taxes should receive the same as a citizen that also pays their taxes and does the same thing as an immigrant. Yes, the country is not at a 100% perfect condition, but it never will be. There will be always be something holding us from that goal, so allowing immigrants their healthcare is just something minor that can be fixed according to how they live and accomodate to the country.

 @9F9M6Y8Women’s Equality from Oklahoma disagreed…8mos8MO

Illegal or not everyone is human and it is not fair that there are millions of illegal people that have to go though illness alone at home that sometimes even lead to death due to the fact that they have no healthcare and are unable to pay for it.

 @9F9M486 from Alabama disagreed…8mos8MO

Severly injured people should not be left to die on American soil treating immigrants does not take away from americans.

 @9F9LZ6ZWomen’s Equality from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

We hardly even care for the people within our borders. These immigrants have nowhere else to go. We are the most easily accessable nation to these people in need of security and healthcare. We are all they have, so why not help our fellow human beings?

 @9F9LFBJWomen’s Equality from Colorado disagreed…8mos8MO

My counter-argument is that the government doesn't know why the illegal immigrants are here it could be for health work or a better life for their families, and they are the ones that keep this country running and example of that is the field in Florida Their is no one that would do those type of jobs if it's not the immigrants. This is why illegal immigrants should have the right to healthcare.

 @9F9L5JD from Michigan disagreed…8mos8MO

If the country would better handle healthcare and how it is distributed, it would be easy to provide both citizens of the country and illegal immigrants the care they need.

 @9F9L46LWomen’s Equality from Minnesota disagreed…8mos8MO

There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant. They come to our country for a better life and work hard to survive here. Without them, there would be many holes in our work system and jobs would not be fulfilled. They are not stripping us of our resources if anything they're providing for us by their jobs.

 @9F9JLQN from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

I agree with some of the reasonings, but if the immigrants absolutely needs the care immediately i think they should be seen as soon as possible and then get in the process of becoming a US citizen

 @9F9GS7S from Georgia disagreed…8mos8MO

Its a good choice, Immigrants should be allowed to have healthcare specifically in hard times right now.

 @9F9GK4G from Florida disagreed…8mos8MO

Immigrants should 100% have access to healthcare because once they come to the United States and become a citizen they are technically one of us. The u.s has enough funds to fund people born in the united states or immigrated here.

 @9F9CFCH from California disagreed…8mos8MO

I believe that everyone should be able to have free access to health care. It is in the best interest of our community to control the spread of infectious and communicable diseases.

 @9F9CB2NWomen’s Equality from California disagreed…8mos8MO

Immigrants should be able to have healthcare because not all immigrants are able to afford their own health insurance and yes they do need to be a citizen but if it's needed I disagree with how "they need to be a US citizen".

 @9F9C8TZ from Oregon disagreed…8mos8MO

Because the process of becoming a citizen is so difficult in the US it is unrealistic to expect someone to first become a citizen before being granted healthcare.

 @9F9BNX4 from California disagreed…8mos8MO

This is a country built on the backs of hardworking immigrants. They contribute just as much as anyone, and should be entitled to just as much as anyone. If our government mismanages money, I think the ceos of large companies should be held responsible, considering that they have the largest amount of influence. Why should people who aren’t considered citizens bear the weight of our country’s failures?

 @9F9B4KM from Oregon disagreed…8mos8MO

Why are Immigrants paying for taxes then? They help grow this country more every single day and they dont get the same benefits that citizens do when they're supposed to pay taxes like citizens do.

 @9FBQQY4Peace and Freedom from Georgia disagreed…8mos8MO

Illegal immigrants are still people who live in the united states. Their nationality doesn't mean they don't deserve to be taken care of.

 @9FBJBTR from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

For me people who moves from an foreign country is more probably that they would have some type of unsanitary health care and I'm in favor that some of them don't want to waste them healthcare because United States gives to immigrants some part of their help to have a better opportunity and what are they doing is good and necessary

 @9F9L5RK from California disagreed…8mos8MO

For all the work and income that illlegal immigrants do for this country, they should be allowed to have free healthcare.

 @9F9JQXH from Georgia disagreed…8mos8MO

They're people just like us and they want a chance to become a U.S. citizen and it shouldn't be up to us to say no to them because they want a better life in America.

 @9F9HDTWProgressive from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

No, shut up, stop it, healthcare shouldn't have any prerequisites or anything preventing you from acquiring it, it's matters of a persons health, not the god damn TSA

 @9F9GXP4 from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

Immigrants should have the right to healthcare. This is not stealing. Healthcare shouldn’t be so high as it is now for anyone, immigrant or not. US healthcare is a joke

 @9F9JY6V from Texas disagreed…8mos8MO

To help an illegal immigrant by using government-subsidized healthcare would be robbing our own citizens of their resources

 @9F9N7MH from New York disagreed…8mos8MO

In most cases with illegal immigrants the only option to their availability is to come to the United States. Many come here to turn their lives around and have a fresh start. To say “they need to become one with our community and nation” is insensitive because of the fact that gaining ultimate citizenship in this country is not easy and is quite difficult. Illegal immigrants should have the right to some healthcare no matter the circumstance. It’s important to know the background of these immigrants and their reasons for coming here.
