No abortion is not best for the child. In no logical way is killing the child best for them. There are many other options if you are not in a place to raise the child.

People should have no right to kill a child. It doesn’t matter if it’s the mothers body or not, the baby is the one being killed. “Clump of cells” can never be an argument. That baby is still a human with a soul. If you feel you cannot take care of a child, give the child up for adoption. It is not the baby’s fault if the mother was involved in rape either, so the child should not suffer and die. The baby needs to have an opportunity to live, and not be killed. This is murder.

I'm a woman, and I fully understand the consequence of having unprotected sex. Although we generally have the right to abortion, I do not believe it is totally necessary to abort the child, unless the woman or the baby is in immediate danger (rape, abuse, etc.) It doesn't give females leeway to get away with having unprotected sex, catching STDS, etc. It doesn't give us leeway to learn the consequence of our actions.

The unborn child is a life that has equal value with the life of the mother. The unborn child has no voice, and must be protected. If the mother of the child does not want to raise the baby, it should be turned over for adoption.

It's not right that a woman has to get an abortion if they want the baby but the male that their with doesn't want the baby but for important reasons then it's understandable.

I feel that if the baby is planned or you didn’t use protection you should have to step up and take responsibility for your actions but in situations with rape, incest, etc you shouldn’t be forced to have the baby if it’s not what you what.

Deciding whether or not someone lives is not up to you even if you are the mother. The baby inside is a human being and you are not even giving them a chance to decide whether to live or not. Even if you are raped you don't have to raise the child and could give them up for adoption but that doesn't give you the right to kill them. Abortion is used too often as a safety valve for people who have sex outside of marriage and should be banned to encourage people to treat sex seriously instead of just another activity to enjoy. Abortion is murder and should only be used as a medical procedure when the mother's life is in danger.

You cannot kill another person even if that person is inside of your womb. Murder is never okay. The child is innocent.

The fetus is not apart of the mothers body, it is its own living organism that will become a human being. Killing the fetus would simply make the mother live with regret, the over all purpose of sexual intercourse is for reproduction, and the argument for rape is very rare.

I believe the matter about abortion should only be a choice matter of the woman, abortions will keep on happening all around the country. As a society we are just stopping safe abortions, we are not eliminating them. There are so many cases of rape, incest, forced marriage, child marriage, and abusive marriages that women should not be forced to keep a child who she well knows she can't even bare the thought of having it, for the mental health and overall health of women abortions should be legalized and adopt the "don't ask" policy as abortions are a private matter, not a legislation issue.

I agree with this comment. It is not the government's place to tell a woman what to do with her body. It is not anyone business but the women and the person she conceived the child with.

I agree with this statement, what a woman does with her body has nothing to do with anyone else and no one has a right to tell her if she is wrong or not. there are many children around the world who have no home or broken ones because women feel like they can not terminate the pregnancy and they feel obligated to have the child

I believe that when the fetus has a heartbeat (21 days after conception) that would be considered a “person. As of the issue of rape and other circumstances, there is always other alternatives. One could be orphan the child or become a surrogate to an unfortunate couple. Also, it is possible that the mother will keep the child.

There are better options such as adoption or faster care. We should be working out better situations such as these instead of funding abortion. Unborn babies still have a God given life and soul.
