76% of Israelis opposed Netanyahu continuing as Prime Minister in a November 2023 poll. Chuck Schumer is not taking a position that is counter to mainstream Israeli public opinion. In fact, it's a much more marginal opinion to actively support the continued rule of Netanyahu
