Pete Buttigieg Disparages Americans Who Don't Want To Drive Electric Vehicles

Yes, well not all of your peasants can afford a $15K battery every 5 years.

So there's that. And also, most of us live in beautiful areas of spacious land, parks, and green meadows with nary a charging station in sight. Which you would know nothing about. (PS let's keep it that way).

I drive that in 2 years. Granted regular batteries are far from 100% reliable, but the last one I needed to replace was almost 10 years ago and was $200. Sorry but that makes the choice easy for me.

There's also the issue of charging. I frequently am driving for most of the day to monitor job sites. I don't have time to sit around and wait for the vehicle to charge. Maybe if hybrid battery prices came down I could get on board with that, as long as I still have the option for gasoline when I need it. As long as a hybrid truck can do everything I need it to do.
