College and further education should be 100% free for everyone, regardless of citizenship or social…
This is a terrible policy. Nothing is free. This "free college" that you are arguing for comes from…
Free education not only has been proven to work in a structured modern progressive society, lowers the debt ceiling, and feeds for an overall more productive and healthier economy. If this country utilized it's budget in more effective ways such as eliminating privatized schooling, or I'll even go with you on making it vastly cheaper, then there is not a negative outcome to be had in any sense. Sure you could make the argument that some degrees could be "useless" and I do agree we should encourage progressive careers, I am in full support of any form of further education being a benefit no matter what. We have lived in a structuralized ideal that we have to complete these 2, 4, 6 years of education in order to amount for any kind of noticeable pedigree and for a piece of parchment paper saying "Well done, you did it!" in order to even be considered for a position is detrimental. Plenty of people did not have a formal education yet became great leaders and entrepreneurs in their field simply because of a passion to learn and invested interest in what the love to do. Mark Twain, Albert Einstein, hell Mark Zuckerberg are just a few of the many good examples of people who dropped out and made incredible discoveries in their respective fields so much so they are forever revered. I don't think the topic should just be laser focused on trying to say that college should be limited to only those that are able to pay for it. Instead I argue that education in all forms should be free and available to all. Genius will shine through regardless of restraints and limitations, so why not allow people who have a passion for something, who genuinely want to try and make themselves better do just that. Most of the time people lie and falsify their resumes, in fact people with degrees have been shown to lie on their resumes more frequently than someone who doesn't have a degree. I think people will always learn, always grow in their field and make strides to improve as long as they have the tools to do so. I have a friend who went to college for Cyber Security at MIT and graduated with honors and he said that his entire collegiate path and all the things he took out of his education could be learned on YouTube free of charge. An educated society breeds a healthier society. And no I didn't mean illegals, that is a whole other conversation not involved in this. I do agree that citizens need to pay taxes and have an established basis in the country in order to take advantage of the few social and economic provisions we do have.
